Three Field Trips, One Incredible Day

Today was one for the books!

Our students packed a whole lot of learning, exploration, and adventure into a single day as we embarked on three field trips in one day—and logged nearly three miles of walking along the way!

We kicked things off with a special visit to our future home. Students and parents had the opportunity to explore our new building, imagining all the possibilities that come with additional learning space, an outdoor play area, and enhanced safety features. The excitement was contagious, and we can't wait to officially move in and make it our own.

Next, we headed downtown to the library, where students explored the building, visited galleries, and discovered new ideas around every corner. It was a wonderful reminder that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls.

Our final stop took us to the Firefighters Museum, where students learned about local history, the evolution of firefighting, and the important role firefighters play in serving our community. To make the experience even more memorable, we hopped aboard Citilink for the ride back to school—another opportunity to learn about the world around us.

And because Kainos students never stop learning, we finished the day by putting our experiences into words through writing activities back at school.

Days like these remind us why experiential learning matters. When students can see, touch, explore, ask questions, and connect classroom concepts to real life, learning becomes meaningful and memorable.

It was a day filled with curiosity, connection, movement, discovery, and plenty of smiles. These are the experiences that strengthen our community, deepen understanding, and create memories our students will carry with them for years to come.
