Fortitude Fund Grant Winner
We are proud to announce that Jill Haskins, founder and director of Kainos Microschool, was named a Fortitude Fund Grant Winner.
From Fortitude Fund:
“What started as a simple idea in a living room has grown into something much bigger. When Jill Haskins founded Kainos Microschool, she wasn't trying to create a trend. She was responding to a need she saw in students and families—children who needed a more personalized approach to learning, stronger relationships, and an environment where they could truly thrive. With a vision for something different, Kainos opened its doors in January 2025 with just a handful of students. Today, the school serves 25 full-time students, has grown its team, and continues to see increasing demand from families seeking an educational experience built around the individual needs of each child. Growth like this doesn't happen by accident. It happens when someone is willing to challenge the status quo, take a risk, and build something that puts people first.”
We're grateful to organizations like Fortitude Fund that invest in entrepreneurs and innovators who are working to create meaningful change in our communities. Their support helps make stories like this possible.
What began in a living room is now helping shape the future of education in Fort Wayne—and we're just getting started.
